I have just returned from Donvillas apartmentos after booking on Booking.com. Firstly before I booked I emailed the manager of the apartments who is a conman called Antonio. I wanted to check that the one bedroomed apartment that I was going to book had air conditioning, as in the middle of august this is very important. I recieved an email from Antonio assuring me that the apartment did indeed have air conditioning. I therefore went ahead and booked a one bedroomed apartment through booking.com.||On the booking.com website the description clearly says that tha apartments are on Torrecilla beach and the pool is on the ground facing the apartments. When we got to the apartments however our taxi was redireted about 15 mins down the road to another apartment block. We were met there by Antonio who duly showed us round our "better" two bedroomed apartmment. The first thing we noticed was that the apartment didnt have air conditioning only room fans, which did nothing in 40 degrees heat. After much compliant Antonio returned with air conditioning units which were too loud to have on at night. The apartments were also on a busy cobbled road, so due to this road noise we were unable to have the windows open at night. Far from being on torrecilla beach we were now 15-20 mins walk to the beach.||Instead of in the advertisment pictures we has a tiny rooftop pool which was too small to sit round due to other residents using it.||On booking we were contacted by booking.com to say we should pay the balance of our money to Antonio on arrival, we emailed back to ask if this could be done using our visa debit card instead of cash, we recieved confirmation back that we could pay by visa debit card. On our arrival however Antonio informed us that we could onlypay cash so we drew money out each day.||Before our arrival I emailed antonio to cheak that the apartments had a hairdryer, I recieved a reply the same day that the apartments did indeed have a hairdryer. On arrival however the apartments did not have a hairdryed, Antonio when told was unaplogetic and simply said as he had when told about the airconditioning that we should be happy that we has got a two bedroomed apartment instead of one bedroom. As there were only two of us this was little consolation.||In summary if you are thinking of booking to go and stay at donvillas apartmentos, I seriously wouldnt bother. There are many lovley palces to stay in Nerja thet arnt run by idiots like Antonio.

||Donvillas seem to rent out a lot of different apartments in Nerja. We stayed in the Miami apartments and the place was perfect for us. It is a 5 minute walk to burriana beach, which is gorgeous. It is a bit of a steep hill on the way back. 10min slow walk to the town. The apt was huge and clean with a big balcony and a lovely view over the sea. It also came equipped with nearly every kitchen utensil you could think of, loads of towels, spare bedsheets and a washing machine.||There is a pool downstairs which is clean but no poolside bar.||There was no air-conditioning.||||Overall we loved this place and would defo stay here if we were in Nerja again!
